What is the Victorian TAFE Teachers - Reclassification Readiness Program?

The Victorian TAFE Association (VTA) is a not-for-profit organisation that informs, supports, and represents the interests of the Victorian TAFE sector, including Victoria’s 12 TAFE institutes, four dual-sector universities, and AMES Australia. The Fortress Learning Reclassification Readiness Program is designed to help TAFE teachers advance their careers by meeting the classification levels outlined in the MEA. Achieving these levels is directly tied to pay increases based on the completion of specific qualifications, such as the TAE50122 Diploma.

Why is Reclassification Important?

For TAFE teachers in Victoria, reclassification means more than just a title change—it’s a gateway to higher pay and greater career opportunities. To be eligible for reclassification, teachers must complete qualifications that align with the classification levels in the MEA, particularly Levels 2.1-2.3. By enrolling in and completing the TAE50122 Diploma with Fortress Learning, you’ll gain the necessary skills and credentials to advance in your career and secure a pay rise.
